Owen Davies is a freelance embroiderer, teaching throughout the UKand USA. He is the co-author with Gill Holdsworth of the best seller 'Embroidered Knot Gardens' published by Batsford/Anova.
Graduating from the RSN Apprenticeship in 1994 Owen became the first and only male to gain this qualification. Following this he worked for the RSN for two years in the commercial Studio and teaching Apprentices and Certificate students. In 1996 he left the RSN to pioneer the Needlework Consultancy within the John Lewis Partnership, facilitating workshops on a variety of embroidery related themes throughout the chain. Returning to the RSN in 2004 as Head of Education, Owen oversaw the Apprenticeship programme until autumn 2008.
