Hazel Arnott

Hazel Arnott is a textile conservator and freelance specialist embroiderer.  Hazel came to the Royal School of Needlework in 1999 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Archaeology at the University of York.  She completed the Apprenticeship in 2002 and continued to work at the RSN for a further two years as Studio administrator and teacher.  In 2004, Hazel left the RSN to study for and gain a three year MA in the Conservation of Tapestries and Textiles in Historic Interiors with the Royal College of Art/ Victoria and Albert Museum in association with Historic Royal Palaces.  After  completing her MA in 2007, Hazel has specialised in the conservation of tapestries while working for the National Trust Textile Conservation Studio.  Throughout her further studies and employment, Hazel has continued to teach at the RSN.
