Royal School of Needlework Shop Supervisor

We are looking for a self-starter with retail experience to run our shop at Hampton Court Palace and develop our online shop facilities

Experience required
An initiative taker with cross-selling and pro-active sales experience
An enthusiastic individual who can work unsupervised
A positive attitude to sales and customer service
An interest in embroidery would be an advantage
An eye for imaginative shop displays and signage
Computer literate: word, excel and internet

Responsibilities
Growing shop sales
Sales analysis and cash handling
Stock control including processing new lines
Processing of online shop sales
Developing new product ideas
Answering telephone calls
Maintaining shop displays
 
Hours
Five day week from Wednesday to Sunday – 12noon to 5pm
Bank holiday cover also required and some additional hours during busy visitor times

Role Development
With the right person this role can develop and expand.  We are currently developing a new online shop site so an interest in web sales and marketing would be an advantage. 

Rate
Initially £7.00per hour, negotiable
