Apprentices' Gallery of Work

1st year technique, this is the first piece of goldwork the Apprentices work on, it is part worked so that the underneath layers of padding can be seen.  This is a set design.

1st year technique inspired by historical Jacobean crewel work embroideries in the RSN's Antique Textile Collection.

1st year technique working from a painting, the design is translated into a variety of stitch textures.

2nd year technique, this regimental piece is worked on banner silk, the set design is worked so that both the back and the front of the work are identical.

2nd year technique, a creative and fun project using a variety of fancy threads to create an over the top decorative tassel.
